We are seeking a Construction Loan Servicing & Draw Specialist to support a growing portfolio of hospitality-focused construction loans. This role sits at the center of the deal lifecycle post-close, managing the flow of funds while coordinating across borrowers, contractors, inspectors, and capital partners.The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, but also a strong problem solver—able to move beyond processing and take ownership of issues as they arise. You will play a critical role in ensuring draws are processed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with loan documents, budgets, and credit approvals..This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role with direct exposure to real estate development, structured finance, and active portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Own the end-to-end draw process for a portfolio of commercial construction loans (hospitality-focused), including review of:
- Pay applications
- Change orders
- Inspection reports
- Lien waivers
- Title Endorsements / title updates
- Budget vs. actual tracking
- Act as the central point of coordination between borrower, general contractor, inspector, title company, and capital partners (including PACE lenders) Identify and resolve issues proactively, including:
- Budget shortfalls or reallocations
- Lien or title concerns
- Inspection discrepancies
- Missing or incomplete documentation
- Delays impacting funding timelines
- Monitor and manage:
- Interest reserves
- Contingency usage
- Loan-to-cost compliance
- Construction progress vs. schedule
- Ensure all funding decisions are consistent with loan documents and credit approvals, while balancing deal execution and risk management
- Support pre-construction and ongoing project calls with borrowers and third parties to align on expectations and timelines
- Assist with:
- Payoff calculations and payoff demands
- Partial releases
- Loan modifications
- Release and satisfaction documentation
- Loan closings, modifications, and extensions as projects progress or refinance
- Maintain portfolio health through:
- Insurance tracking
- Tax tracking
- Covenant tracking
- Exception tracking and follow-up
- Borrower communication and status updates
What you bring:
- 2–5+ years of experience in construction lending, loan servicing, or project finance
- Strong understanding of:
- Construction budgets & draw processes
- Loan structures (LTC, LTV, interest reserves)
- Basic real estate underwriting concepts
- Servicing controls, exceptions, and escalation
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and solve problems in real time, not just process transactions
- High attention to detail with the ability to connect the dots between construction activity and loan risk
- Strong communication skills — able to work directly with borrowers, contractors, and internal teams
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Experience with hospitality or commercial real estate is a plus
- Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with:
- AIA pay applications
- Title Endorsements
- Change order review
- Partial releases and payoff processing
- Insurance and tax servicing
- UCC / lien release workflows
- Participation loans or multi-lender structures
